Emergency and Urgent Care

We are not an emergency hospital but we do set time aside to manage urgent care during our regular operating hours. Please call 705 445-1901 during regular clinic hours. Drop off appointments for RVT triage may be requested if required. Should our hospital be at capacity during times of high demand, you may be referred to our sister hospital or emergency hospital.

For out of hours care, please call Smart.Vet at 647 695-5411  where a registered veterinary technician will direct you regarding the concern about your pet. Smart.Vet is available 24/7. This may result in the recommendation to proceed directly to the after hours emergency hospital, to set up a telemedicine appointment with a veterinarian, or a recommendation to make an appointment with us for the next business day. You may also contact Huronia Veterinary Emergency Hospital (HVEC) directly. HVEC works very much like a human emergency hospital through triage where the most urgent cases are seen first.
