About
Collingwood Veterinary Services
History
Collingwood has always been a pet friendly place
Collingwood Veterinary Services has been a part of the Collingwood community for many years. First established as a veterinary hospital by Dr. Bruce McLeod in the early 80s, it was purchased by doctors Pat Klymas and Gary Bendus in 1986. As a new graduate from the Ontario Veterinary College, Dr. Sean Lawes started as an associate veterinarian in 1988, and then became owner in 1997. After 34 years of serving the pet community, Dr. Lawes retired from full-time practice and sold the practice to Collingwood native Dr. Jacquie Pankatz, a colleague of Dr. Lawes, and veterinarian who has been part of the Collingwood pet community herself for over 25 years. Dr. Jacquie brings with her a team of veterinary professionals with deep roots in Collingwood, and who are dedicated to continuing the exceptional patient care that Dr. Lawes has provided for the past three decades. Our town has seen many changes over the years, but Collingwood Veterinary Services remains a fixture in the downtown core, and is committed to providing compassionate and quality pet care for years to come.
We are proud to be a locally owned and operated veterinary hospital.
